Conflict Resources
Please find here a collection of varied and diverse resources that relate to secular and Dharma ideas around conflict.
Sangha Support Sessions
Free, one off, one hour, non-urgent sessions with a skilled volunteer sangha member who will lend an empathic ear - a space to talk about any relational tensions or difficulties in a compassionate and non-judgmental space.
Trained Conflict Support Sessions
Sessions that draw on specialised interventions that support people through tensions and conflicts.
- For HAF workers and volunteers, all Trained Conflict Support is free of charge
- In order to make our Trained Conflict Support sustainable, we offer sangha members the first session freely and for any following sessions we request a sliding scale charge between £0-£45/hr, which goes directly to the Trained Conflict Supporters.
For more details about the support we offer please read this Google Doc.
Sessions are available via telephone or Zoom and are dependent on the availability of our Relational Supporters. Much of this work happens in a voluntary capacity, and we cannot guarantee urgent response. Where there is an immediate need, there are many professional conflict facilitation organisations who would be able to help. See our conflict resources (at the top of this page) for recommendations.
Request Support
If you find yourself in difficulty or conflict and would like some confidential support please complete this form. You can expect us to respond to you within 14 days.
Confidentiality
HAF Relational Supporters are sangha members and understand that we may cross paths with you in other contexts. In order to care for this possible crossing of roles we are clear that in usual circumstances everything that is shared with us is treated as totally confidential, and stays within the confines of this team.
In the case of someone sharing a matter with HAF Relational Supporters that raises a concern that a serious breach of HAF ethical standards has happened or may happen, then in these circumstances HAF Relational Supporters will have a conversation with that person and may be compelled to raise a concern with HAF (or the HAF Ethics Council once that body is established) in the service of protection and care for all involved.
Feedback
We value and seek out feedback so that we can continue to offer support that is helpful to HAF and our sangha. As part of this process, we invite anyone who has engaged with our services to give feedback at the end of our session(s).
We are sangha members who care about your difficulties within the sangha and want very much to support our beloved community.
